Stacey Wedding, Principal
A native Las Vegan, Stacey Wedding is the founder and principal of Professionals in Philanthropy, LLC. As a philanthropic consultant with more than a decade of experience in the non-profit and foundation sectors, Stacey lends her expertise and knowledge of the local community to guide her clients in a variety of areas. Some of these include board development, strategic planning, issue-specific research, organizational assessment/analysis and customized advising, based on client needs.

Some of Stacey's current clients include the Ritter Charitable Trust, Nevada Women's Philanthropy, Boyd Gaming, BEST Agencies, Henderson Community Foundation, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Nevada, Area Health Education Center of Southern Nevada, Nevada P.E.P., and New Horizons Academy.

Prior to starting her own firm, Stacey was on the executive management team of the Nevada Community Foundation (NCF), a $45 million charitable foundation. Her seven year tenure at NCF gave her extensive exposure to the community at large and provided her with the opportunity to build her knowledge of community needs, use creative strategies to address those needs, develop effective grantmaking practices, and market the Foundation to its various constituencies-all while building relationships with local non-profits and the Foundation's current and prospective donors.

Before joining the Nevada Community Foundation, Stacey worked at Ballard Communications, a local public relations firm, where she received two Pinnacle Awards for her work. She started her career in the Corporate Communications Department of Nevada Power Company.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from UNLV, where she graduated summa cum laude from their Honors College. She also received the Board of Regents prestigious Undergraduate Scholar of the Year Award and later was awarded the UNLV 2004 Outstanding Alumnus Award for her support of the Honors College.

In 2004, Stacey was recognized as a "Rising Star Under 40" by In Business Las Vegas and in 2002, she received the Nevada Business Journal's "Top Business Professionals Under 40 Award." Ms. Wedding is also a graduate of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2003.

Stacey is actively involved in a number of professional and community organizations, some of which include serving as president of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Leadership Las Vegas Committee Member for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, DJs for PJs Executive Committee member, and Advisory Board Member of the UNLV Honors College.
